To connect the Klipsch R-26FA R-25C R-14M Dolby Atmos Floorstanding Speakers to your amplifier, you will need to follow the conventional connection method using 16-12 gauge speaker wire. Here are the steps:
1. Using the speaker wire, connect the RED "positive" (+) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the RED "positive" (+) terminal of your amplifier's LEFT channel.
2. Connect the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of your amplifier's LEFT channel.
3. Repeat the above steps for connecting all the remaining speakers to the appropriate amplifier channels.
Please refer to Figure 3 in the instruction manual for a visual representation of the connection setup. It is important to ensure that no bare wires from any of the connections touch any other terminals, as this could cause a short and potentially damage your equipment.
Note: Some Klipsch Reference speakers come with dual binding posts that are connected by a metal strip. Do not remove this strip, as it is necessary for the speakers to function correctly. Keep the strip in place and connect your speaker wire to the top set of the binding posts.
Additionally, it is important to consider the amplifier requirements. Klipsch speakers are highly efficient and can operate easily on a wide variety of amplifiers. However, it is recommended to check with your dealer or amplifier manual to ensure that your particular amplifier is best suited for your application.
Remember to exercise caution with the volume control, as excessive volume over long periods can permanently damage your hearing. Overdriving your amplifier could also damage your speakers.
