The Genelec 8010A Active Studio Monitor can be connected to your audio source using either a balanced XLR cable or an unbalanced RCA line level audio cable with a suitable adapter. The monitor has a balanced XLR 7 kOhm audio input connector, so you can connect it directly to your audio interface or mixer using an XLR cable. If you prefer to use an unbalanced RCA connection, you can use an RCA to XLR adapter cable. Simply connect the appropriate cable from your audio source to the input connector on the back of the monitor. Make sure to connect the mains cables only after you have completed connecting the audio signal cables. The monitor will switch on automatically once the audio signal is detected.
