To connect the Polk Audio S60 Signature Floor Standing Speakers to your amplifier or receiver, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the speaker wire: Strip 1/2" (12.7mm) of insulation from each of the two conductors of the wire to expose the bare metal. Twist each of the individual conductors into single unfrayed strands.
2. Identify the terminals: Each speaker has one red (+) terminal and one black (-) terminal. Make sure to connect the wire from the positive (+) terminal of your amplifier or receiver to the red (+) terminal on your speaker, and the wire from the negative (-) terminal of your amplifier or receiver to the black (-) terminal on your speaker.
3. Connect the wire to the binding posts: Unscrew the binding post cap on each speaker and insert the bare wire into the hole near the base of the binding post. Do not insert the insulated part of the wire into the hole. Tighten the binding post cap until it seats firmly with the wire, but do not over tighten.
4. Choose connectors (optional): You have several options for connectors, such as banana plugs, spade lugs, or bare wire. Choose the connector that suits your preference. If using banana plugs, carefully pry out the binding post plugs to expose the banana plug holes.
5. Repeat for each speaker: Connect the wires from your amplifier or receiver to each speaker following the same steps.
Note: It is important to follow the correct polarity (+ to +, - to -) when connecting the wires to ensure proper sound reproduction.
