To install the BOSS BX55 Pre-Amp Car Electronic Crossover, follow these steps:
1. Find a suitable location in your vehicle to mount the crossover.
2. Bolt the crossover to the mounting surface securely.
3. Connect minimum 16 gauge wire from the power, ground, and remote terminals. The power connection should be made directly to the car battery, and the remote wire should be connected to the Remote Turn On Lead of your head unit. Install a 3A fuse within 18 inches of the battery terminal when connecting directly to the battery.
4. Connect all line inputs and outputs using high-quality RCA cables.
5. Double-check all connections before powering up the system.
6. Set all level controls to their minimum positions and adjust the crossover controls, switches, etc. to the desired frequency or position.
7. Power up the system and set the volume control on the head unit to a moderate level where your normal speaking voice can be heard while the music is playing.
8. Fine-tune the various controls as necessary to achieve the desired sound.
