To set up the BroadLink RM4 pro Smart Remote and Sensor Cable Set, follow these steps:
1. Install the BroadLink app: Download and install the BroadLink app from the App Store or Google Play. The app supports iOS 8.0 or above and Android 4.0 or above.
2. Connect to Wi-Fi: Make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The RM4 pro does not support 5GHz networks. Ensure that your Wi-Fi password is not longer than 32 characters and does not contain any unusual characters.
3. Add the device: Open the BroadLink app and follow the setup instructions provided in the app. Make sure to select the correct device model (RM4 pro) during the setup process.
4. Learn IR signals: The RM4 pro can learn and remember the IR signals from your original remotes. Use the app to teach the RM4 pro the buttons from your physical IR remote controls.
5. Voice control setup: If you want to use voice control with Alexa or Google Assistant, enable the BroadLink skill or service in the respective apps. Link your accounts and search for devices. You can then use voice commands to control your devices.
