To activate the noise-canceling function on the ATH-ANC20 headphones, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the headphones are powered on by moving the power switch up. The power indicator should light up red.
2. Connect the straight end of the included headphone cable to the port on the left earcup, ensuring that the plug is firmly seated.
3. Connect the right-angle end of the headphone cable to the headphone jack of your audio device. You can also use the included airline adapter to connect to typical airline audio systems.
4. Wear the left earpiece (marked L) on your left ear and the right earpiece (marked R) on your right ear. Adjust the headband for a comfortable fit.
5. Turn on your audio device and adjust the volume to a low level initially. Gradually increase the volume to a comfortable level. Please avoid using excessive volume levels to prevent damage to your ears.
Note: If you do not wish to use the active noise-canceling function, you can move the power switch to the down position. The headphones will still function as stereo headphones without noise cancellation.
