To connect the SLL SX310 crossover to your car audio system, follow these steps:
1. Choose a mounting location for the crossover that will not distract or interfere with the driver's ability to control the vehicle.
2. Use the installation parts and hardware provided with the unit for proper installation. Using other parts may cause malfunction and damage to the crossover.
3. Avoid installing the crossover in a location that is subject to high temperatures, direct sunlight, hot air, dust, dirt, moisture, or excessive vibration.
4. Connect the following wires using the xxxx terminals provided:
- +12V: Use a minimum 16GA wire and connect it directly to the vehicle's (+) battery terminal, with an inline 3A fuse within 18 inches of the battery.
- GND (Ground): Use a minimum 16GA wire and connect it to a clean, solid chassis ground point as close to the crossover as possible.
- REM (Remote): Use a minimum 16GA wire and connect it to the Remote Turn-On lead of your head unit.
- Audio Cables: Use high-quality RCA cables to make connections as shown in the diagram provided in the manual.
5. Before powering up your system, recheck all connections, set all level controls to the minimum positions, and set all crossover controls and switches to the desired positions.
6. Power up your system and set the volume control on your head unit to a moderate level. You may need to further fine-tune the system to suit your taste.
