To properly mount the AIE USBCDPLAY1DLX CD player in your vehicle, follow these steps:
1. Choose a suitable location for the CD player that is free from dust, excessive vibrations, and extreme heat.
2. Ensure that the mounting position is in compliance with the manufacturer's requirements. For horizontal positioning, the CD slot should be on the top side of the unit with the arrow portion of the eject button pointing up. For vertical positioning, the CD slot should be facing up, and the unit should be angled no greater than zero degrees (perfectly straight and upright).
3. Affix the CD player to a solid surface using the provided adhesive pad. Peel off the protective backing of the adhesive pad and stick it to the CD player, then peel the opposite side and stick it to the chosen surface, ensuring enough surface contact for stability.
4. Connect the CD player's USB plug to your vehicle's data-based USB connection input. Make sure you are connecting to a data plug and not a USB power-only plug.
5. Once connected, you can insert a disc into the CD slot. If properly connected, the unit will accept the CD and begin the loading process.
6. After the CD is identified and properly formatted, the unit may begin auto playback. During the indexing process, which takes about 15 seconds, do not interrupt the playback or make any changes. Interrupting the indexing process may cause playback issues. Once indexing is complete, you can choose the song of your choice and have full control using the FF, REW, PLAY/PAUSE buttons.
