To connect the Audio-Technica AT2020 microphone to your computer, you will need an audio interface or a USB audio adapter. Here are the steps to connect the microphone:
1. If you are using an audio interface:
a. Connect the XLR cable (not included) to the XLR output of the AT2020 microphone.
b. Connect the other end of the XLR cable to the XLR input of your audio interface.
c. Make sure your audio interface is connected to your computer via USB or another appropriate connection.
d. Set the input source on your recording software or digital audio workstation (DAW) to the input channel of your audio interface where the AT2020 microphone is connected.
2. If you are using a USB audio adapter:
a. Connect the XLR cable (not included) to the XLR output of the AT2020 microphone.
b. Connect the other end of the XLR cable to the XLR input of the USB audio adapter.
c. Connect the USB audio adapter to an available USB port on your computer.
d. Set the input source on your recording software or DAW to the USB audio adapter.
Please note that the AT2020 microphone requires 48V phantom power for operation. Make sure your audio interface or USB audio adapter provides phantom power or use an external phantom power supply if necessary.
