To properly mount the AIE USBCDPLAY2-S CD Player in your car, please follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Choose a suitable location for your CD player that is free from dust, excessive vibrations, and extreme heat from in-vehicle components.
2. Make sure the mounting position is within compliance as required by the manufacturer. The horizontal position is defined as the CD slot being on the top side of the unit with the arrow portion of the eject button pointing up. The vertical position is defined as the CD slot facing up with the unit angled no greater than zero degrees (perfectly straight and upright).
3. Once you have chosen a location, take the provided mounting tape and peel and stick it to the CD player in a discreet but stable flat surface on the top or bottom of the unit. Make sure enough surface contact is made to stabilize the unit and keep it from moving once secured.
4. Connect the CD player's USB plug coming out of the rear of the unit to your vehicle's data-based USB connection input. Make sure you are connecting to the data plug and not a USB power-only plug. This will be the same connection that your smart device or USB media music stick would connect to for radio playback and control.
5. Once connected, you can insert a disc into the USB CD slot. If properly connected, the unit will accept the CD and begin the loading process.
6. The CD player will perform an indexing process to create a table of contents for your radio to identify. It is important not to interrupt this process for at least 15 seconds. If the indexing process is interrupted by jumping to a song, pausing the auto playback, or any other action, it may corrupt the CD's playback capability. If this happens, you will need to start over. Refer to the troubleshooting section of the user manual for how to correct indexing corruption.
7. Once the indexing is complete, you can choose the song of your choice and have full control of it with functions like fast forward, rewind, play/pause.
Please refer to the user manual for any additional information or troubleshooting steps.
