To switch between stereo and mono mode on the Califone 3068AV Stereo/Mono Headphones, locate the mono/stereo switch on the headphones. This switch is designed to optimize sound quality and performance. Using an internal processor to attempt this function can result in decreased frequency response, increased distortion, and diminished volume levels for students.
The advantage of the 3068AV headphones is their ability to switch between typical monaural functions, such as in English Language Learning / English Language Development, language labs, and speech pathology applications, and stereo mode for use in computer workstations and music appreciation classes.
