To turn on the Southwire 40116N Non-Contact AC Voltage Detector, follow these steps:
1. Locate the tester On/Off button on the device. It is labeled on the diagram in the manual as item number 4.
2. Press and release the tester On/Off button momentarily. The device will emit a single beep, and the green LED indicator will illuminate, indicating that the tester is on and ready for use.
