To connect the Polk Audio T50 speakers to your TV, you will need a receiver or amplifier. Here are the steps to connect them:
1. Make sure your TV has audio output ports. These are usually labeled as "Audio Out" or "Line Out" and can be either RCA (red and white) or optical (Toslink) ports.
2. If your TV has RCA audio output ports, you will need an RCA-to-3.5mm stereo cable. Plug one end of the cable into the RCA audio output ports on your TV and the other end into the 3.5mm input on your receiver or amplifier.
3. If your TV has optical audio output ports, you will need an optical audio cable. Plug one end of the cable into the optical audio output port on your TV and the other end into the optical input on your receiver or amplifier.
4. Once the speakers are connected to the receiver or amplifier, use speaker wire to connect the T50 speakers to the speaker output terminals on the receiver or amplifier. Make sure to match the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on the speakers with the corresponding terminals on the receiver or amplifier.
5. Turn on your TV and receiver or amplifier. Set the input on your receiver or amplifier to the appropriate source (e.g., "TV" or "AUX").
6. Adjust the volume on your receiver or amplifier to the desired level.
