To connect the Edifier R1850DB speakers to a subwoofer, you will need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable (if the subwoofer has a 3.5mm input) or a 3.5mm to RCA cable (if the subwoofer has RCA inputs). Simply connect one end of the cable to the subwoofer's input and the other end to the "Bass output" port on the active speaker. This will allow you to add a subwoofer to enhance the bass performance of the speakers.
