To connect the GOKUID Soundbar to your TV, you can follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Start by turning on your TV and the soundbar.
2. Check the audio output settings on your TV. Make sure the selected audio output on your TV matches the one selected on the soundbar. This ensures that the audio will be routed correctly.
3. If you are using apps like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime on your smart TV, it is recommended to turn off the DOLBY and/or DTS function in the app sound settings or choose STEREO output. This ensures compatibility with the soundbar.
4. If you are using the optical cable connection method, connect one end of the optical cable to the optical output port on your TV and the other end to the optical input port on the soundbar. Make sure the cable is securely connected.
5. If you are using the audio cable connection method, connect one end of the audio cable (3.5mm or RCA) to the audio output port on your TV and the other end to the corresponding input port on the soundbar. Again, ensure a secure connection.
6. Once the connections are made, adjust the audio settings on your TV. Refer to the TV user manual for specific audio settings. Some common settings include selecting the audio output as the soundbar, choosing PCM as the digital audio format, and disabling the TV speakers.
