To connect your Altec Lansing LifeJacket Mini Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker to your smartphone, please follow these steps:
1. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
2. Make sure the Altec Lansing speaker is turned on and in pairing mode. You can do this by pressing and holding the power button on the speaker until a flashing blue and red LED light appears.
3. On your smartphone, go to the Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
4. Look for the device named "JH2O Mini" in the list of available devices and select it.
5. If prompted, enter the PIN "0000" and confirm the entry.
6. Once paired, you will hear the speaker say, "You are now paired, enjoy."
If the speaker does not appear in the list of available devices, try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Ensure that the speaker is within range of your smartphone. The Bluetooth range of the Altec Lansing LifeJacket Mini is up to 100 feet, but it is recommended to keep the devices closer for a stronger connection.
2. Restart your smartphone and try the pairing process again.
3. If you have previously paired the speaker with another device, make sure it is disconnected from that device before attempting to pair it with your smartphone.
4. If the issue persists, try resetting the speaker by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. This will reset all connections and restore the speaker to its factory settings.
