To insert the batteries into the Crayola 040908 Light Up Tracing Pad, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have a Phillips screwdriver on hand (not included in the package).
2. Use the Phillips screwdriver to loosen the battery cover screws located underneath the pad.
3. Once the screws are loosened, remove the battery cover to access the battery compartment.
4. Take out the used batteries, if any, and dispose of them properly.
5. Insert three (3) AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure the direction matches the diagram inside the battery case.
6. Once the batteries are inserted correctly, replace the battery cover and tighten the screws securely.
Please note that the batteries are not included in the package, so you will need to purchase three AA alkaline batteries separately.
