To power on the PROSCAN SRCD243 Portable CD Player, you have two options: battery power or AC power.
For battery power:
1. Open the Battery Door located on the back of the unit.
2. Insert 8 "C" (UM-2) size batteries according to the polarity diagram on the back cabinet.
3. Close the Battery Door.
For AC power:
1. Connect the included AC Power Cord to the AC Power Jack on the back of the unit.
2. Connect the other end of the AC Power Cord to a wall outlet with AC220V/60Hz power supply.
Once you have powered on the unit using either battery or AC power, you can set the Function Switch (CD/OFF/Radio) to the desired mode (CD or Radio) and follow the instructions in the manual for CD player or radio operation.
