To program your favorite channels on the Flipper Big Button Remote, follow these steps:
1. Set the remote to "TV Only" mode by pressing and holding the TV button until the light is solid, then enter 970. The light will flash off.
2. Test the preset channels by pressing the Volume and Channel buttons. If they are working, proceed to step 3. If not, continue to step 4.
3. Locate your brand of TV in the code list provided in the manual. Press and hold the TV button until the light is solid, then enter the corresponding code for your TV brand. The light will turn off. Test the Channel and Volume buttons. If they are working, proceed to step 5. If not, try the next code for your TV brand.
4. If none of the codes for your TV brand work, go to the Code Search function. Press and hold the TV button until the light is solid, then enter 962 for US/Canada or 961 for UK/EU/AUS/NZ. Press the On/Off button to send 15 codes to the TV. If the TV turns off, wait for the light to stop flashing, then press the CH- button to send one code at a time until the TV turns back on. Once the TV turns back on, press the TV button to exit and test other functions.
5. Set your favorite channels in two ways:
a) Set favorites on your TV: Use your TV remote to access the TV menu, go to Settings, and find the option to Add/Delete channels. Set your list of favorite channels accordingly.
b) Set favorites on the Flipper remote: Press and hold the TV and ADD buttons at the same time until the light is solid. Enter the channels you want to add, followed by the ADD button. For example, to add channels 123 and 456, enter 123-ADD; 456-ADD, and so on.
6. Press the TV button to exit and test if your favorite channels are working. If not, try using the alternative method mentioned in step 5.
Note: Some cable companies use sub-channels like 4-1 or 4.1, which may not be supported by all codes. If you encounter this issue, try other codes or use the Set Favs function on your TV instead.
