To use the BOAK Automotive Electric Test Pen to test the voltage of a car's electrical system, follow these steps:
1. Choose a safe and well-lit location near the car's electrical system to perform the tests.
2. Identify the specific circuit or component you want to test, such as headlights, taillights, turn signals, or fuse connections.
3. Connect the alligator clamps of the test pen to the positive and negative ends of the circuit you want to test. Ensure a secure connection.
4. If necessary, start the car or turn on the circuit to activate the electrical system and obtain accurate readings.
5. On the test pen, turn on the device if required. Refer to the manual for specific instructions on how to operate your model.
6. Look at the LCD screen of the test pen to read the voltage measurement. The screen will display the voltage readings with a precision of 0.1V.
7. Take note of the polarity indication on the screen. The red color indicates a positive polarity, while green represents a negative polarity.
8. If you need to check for continuity, follow the instructions provided in the manual to set up the test pen accordingly. This usually involves connecting both probes to the circuit.
9. Record the voltage or continuity readings for future reference or troubleshooting purposes.
10. Once you have completed the testing, carefully disconnect the alligator clamps from the circuit.
11. Store the test pen properly by coiling the wire and keeping it in a safe place.
12. It is recommended to regularly test the functionality of the test pen to ensure accurate readings and performance.
