To change the paper bag or cloth bag on the Hoover M08230RED Dirt Devil Hand Vacuum Cleaner, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the cleaner before changing the bag.
2. Remove the hose from the clip on the side of the cleaner.
3. Turn the black ring on the cloth bag counterclockwise and pull the cloth bag off.
4. Pull the paper bag off by grasping the cardboard collar.
5. To install a new bag, slide the new paper bag as far as possible over the tabs on the exhaust outlet. Make sure the rounded side of the paper bag collar is on top.
6. Fit the cloth bag around the paper bag. Align the arrows on both sides of the black ring with the arrows on both sides of the unit, making sure the hose clip is on the same side as the hose.
7. Turn the black ring clockwise to the locked position. Make sure the cloth bag is properly secured to prevent it from blowing off.
Note: The Hoover M08230RED Dirt Devil Hand Vacuum Cleaner must be used with a paper bag.
