To replace the batteries in the Fisher-Price FXC66 Soothe 'n Snuggle Sound Machine, follow these steps:
1. Open the fasteners on the back of the toy and pull to remove the electronic unit.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the xxxx in the battery compartment door and remove the door.
3. Take out the exhausted batteries and dispose of them properly.
4. Insert four new AA (LR6) alkaline batteries into the battery compartment.
5. Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the xxxx . Be careful not to over-tighten.
6. If the music, sound, or motion from the toy becomes faint, slow, or stops, it's time to change the batteries.
7. If the toy starts operating erratically, you may need to reset the electronics by removing and reinstalling the batteries.
8. Fit the electronic unit back into the toy, making sure the speaker is facing the front.
9. Before closing the fasteners, make your music/sounds/motion selections and adjust the volume.
Please note that only adults should replace the batteries, and a Phillips screwdriver is required for this task. It is recommended to use alkaline batteries for longer life.
