To activate the light-up feature on the Barbie HDJ36 Light-Up Mermaid Toy, follow these steps:
1. Press the button located on the body of the mermaid doll. This button is shaped like a star.
2. If you want to activate the light show without water, simply press the button on the body of the doll.
3. To see the tail light up, immerse the upper body of the mermaid in water as shown in the instructions. Make sure the activation sensors on the doll are underwater.
4. After 1 minute of inactivity, the lights will automatically turn off and go into sleep mode. To reactivate the lights, simply press the button again.
Note: The toy is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature that helps preserve battery life. If the lights are not working, it may be due to depleted batteries. Try replacing the batteries with new ones to see if the lights work again.
