To set up wireless printing on the HP Smart-Tank 5000, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is active and that you have the network name (SSID) and password available.
2. Power on the HP Smart-Tank 5000 printer and wait for it to initialize.
3. On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wireless Setup Wizard. You can usually find this option under the Settings or Network menu.
4. Select the Wireless Setup Wizard option and wait for the printer to scan for available Wi-Fi networks.
5. From the list of available networks, select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password when prompted. Use the printer's touchscreen or navigation buttons to input the password.
6. Once the printer successfully connects to your Wi-Fi network, it will display a confirmation message on the control panel.
7. To verify the wireless connection, you can print a network configuration page from the printer's control panel. This page will display the printer's IP address and other network information.
8. Now that your HP Smart-Tank 5000 is connected to your Wi-Fi network, you can proceed to add the printer to your devices (such as computers, smartphones, or tablets) for wireless printing.
9. On your device, go to the Wi-Fi settings and select your Wi-Fi network.
10. Install the necessary printer drivers and software on your device. You can usually download these from the HP website or use the installation CD that came with the printer.
11. During the installation process, you will be prompted to select the printer. Choose the HP Smart-Tank 5000 from the list of available printers.
12. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
