To set a password for the VTech Secret Safe Diary Colour, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the diary is turned off.
2. Open the battery cover and locate the Reset Button inside next to the word "RESET".
3. Press the Unlock Button to turn on the diary.
4. Press the Reset Button.
5. The screen will display the message "Normal Mode".
6. Normal Mode has now been activated. The next time you turn on the diary, you will be asked to set a voice and number password.
If no password exists:
- A voice saying "Please record your password" will be heard.
- Say your password. You will then be asked to repeat it.
- "Your password has been set" will be heard if the password was successfully set. The cover will then open, and you will be asked to enter a 4-digit number password. You will then be asked to repeat the number password. If the number password is successfully set, you can begin using the diary.
- "Oh! There's no password" will be heard if the password wasn't set. Press the Unlock Button to try setting your password again.
If a password exists:
- "OK" will be heard if the password is correct. The cover will then open, and you can begin using the diary.
- If the password is incorrect, "incorrect password" will be heard, and the cover will open for you to input the number password.
