To replace the batteries in the Coleman 2000033983 1000L LED Lantern, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure the lantern is turned off and the handle is in the collapsed position.
2. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the lantern.
3. Rotate the battery compartment cover counterclockwise to unlock it.
4. Lift the battery compartment cover to access the battery compartment.
5. Remove the old batteries from the compartment, ensuring proper disposal.
6. Insert four fresh D-cell alkaline batteries into the compartment, following the polarity markings (+/-) indicated inside the compartment.
7. Close the battery compartment cover and rotate it clockwise to lock it securely.
8. Ensure the battery compartment cover is tightly closed to maintain water resistance.
