To set up the Lionel 711940 Remote Control Train Set, follow these steps:
1. Put in the Batteries: The train requires 6 C-cell batteries and the remote control requires 3 AAA batteries. Make sure the batteries are installed correctly.
2. Set Up the Track Pieces: Arrange the 24 curved and 8 straight plastic track pieces in the desired layout. You can create a simple loop or more complex patterns.
3. Connect the Track: Snap the track pieces together securely to ensure stability and prevent the train from derailing.
4. Position the Locomotive: Place the general-style locomotive, which runs on batteries, at the beginning of the track.
