To install the batteries in the Thomas & Friends HHN40 Motorized Engine Train, please follow these steps:
1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the engine.
2. Use a small screwdriver or coin to open the battery compartment door.
3. Insert two AAA batteries into the compartment, making sure to match the positive (+) and negative (-) ends correctly.
4. Close the battery compartment door securely.
5. Test the train by turning on the motor using the flip-top switch on top of the engine.
Please note that the batteries are not included with the train, so you will need to have your own AAA batteries on hand.
