Yes, you can control the speed of the BRIO 33510 Remote Control Travel Train. The train has two-speed movement options. To start the forward motion, press the forward button on the remote control. This will slowly move the train forward at a normal speed. If you press the forward button twice, the train will move very quickly. You can choose the speed that best suits your play preferences. Additionally, if you press the "reverse" button on the remote control, the train will move backward on the track.
