To turn on the VTech 80-166100 Roll & Discover Ball, you need to slide the ON/OFF/VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH on the electronic component to either the LOW VOLUME or HIGH VOLUME position. The switch is located on the electronic component inside the ball. Once you slide the switch to the desired volume level, the toy will turn on and you will hear a song, a fun phrase, and a playful sound. If the toy doesn't turn on, make sure you have installed 2 new 'AAA' batteries following the battery installation instructions in the user's manual. Also, check that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity. If the problem persists, refer to the troubleshooting section in the user's manual or contact VTech's Consumer Services Department for further assistance.
