To assemble and set up the LAVA 2149 Color Max Volcano Base lamp, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the lightbulb is tightly screwed into the base.
2. Place the lamp on a flat, stable surface.
3. Connect the power plug to an appropriate outlet.
4. Turn the lamp on using the on/off switch.
5. Allow the lamp to warm up for approximately 1-2 hours for optimal flow and effect.
Please note that the first time you start the lamp, it may take 4-6 hours for the lava to flow. The wax may initially form "towery" pillar shapes, which is normal. Allow the lamp to run for at least 4-6 hours the first time you use it.
If the lamp is not flowing properly, check the coil. The coil should be at the bottom of the glass globe, as it helps accelerate the heat to melt the lava at a faster pace. If the coil is not at the bottom, you can easily resolve this by following the instructions in the provided video: [link to video].
If your lamp appears cloudy, allow it to sit at room temperature and let the wax settle for approximately 8 hours. Then, turn the lamp on until the wax starts to soften, and shut it off until it cools. Repeat this process for 8 to 10 hours, which may result in a clear lamp. If you still think your lamp is cloudy, please contact Customer Service at (800) 336-5282 or email info@lavalite.com.
Please remember to handle the lamp with care and avoid moving, shaking, or dropping it while it's warm, as this can cause the lamp to become cloudy or the lava to break apart. Do not loosen or remove the bottle cap on the globe, as it will ruin the lamp and void the warranty.
