1. Remove the hood: Carefully remove the hood from the aquarium and set it aside.
2. Prepare the collection container: Place a collection container on the side of the aquarium to collect the dirty water during the water change.
3. Stop the flow of water: Gently pull up on the nozzle elbow to stop the flow of water from the aquarium.
4. Position the nozzle: Swivel the nozzle to the side of the aquarium and extend it beyond the aquarium, positioning it over the collection container.
