To adjust the sharpness of pencils with the School Smart 84437 Electric Pencil Sharpener, follow these steps:
1. Locate the point adjustment dial on the sharpener. It is usually located near the pencil opening or on the side of the sharpener.
2. Turn the dial clockwise to increase the sharpness of the pencil. This will result in a finer point.
3. Turn the dial counterclockwise to decrease the sharpness of the pencil. This will result in a less sharp point.
4. Test the sharpness of the pencil after making adjustments by inserting it into the sharpener and sharpening it. If the desired sharpness is not achieved, continue adjusting the dial until the desired result is obtained.
Note: It is important to remember that pencils with uncentered lead may not sharpen evenly, regardless of the sharpness setting. Additionally, be sure to empty the shavings receptacle frequently for smooth trouble-free operation.
