To clean the scale collector of the Rowenta 23108770200 PERFECT STEAM PRO steam station, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the steam station has been unplugged and allowed to cool for at least 2 hours.
2. Place the steam station on the edge of your sink and the iron to one side, on its heel.
3. Unscrew the scale collector located in the boiler - refer to figure 16 in the instruction manual.
4. Hold your steam station at an angle and use a jug to fill the boiler with 1/4 liter of tap water - refer to figure 24.
5. Shake the base unit for a few seconds, then empty the water completely into the sink - refer to figures 25 and 26.
6. Fit the scale collector back into its housing and xxxx it on tightly to ensure it is watertight, but do not overtighten it - refer to figure 19.
7. The next time you use your iron, press the "Restart OK button" on the control panel to turn off the orange "Calc Away OK button" light.
Regular descaling of your steam station helps to maintain its steam performance over time. It is recommended to rinse the scale collector every time the orange "Calc Away OK button" light flashes, and to perform a complete boiler rinse every six months or after every 25 uses.
Please note that the cleaning process should only be carried out when the steam station has been unplugged for at least two hours and has cooled down completely. Take caution when handling the appliance, as the water in the tank may still be hot and cause burns even after cooling down.
