Cleaning the Instant 140-6001-01 4-in-1 Electric Milk Steamer is important to maintain its performance and prevent milk residue from burning onto the inside of the pitcher. Here's how you can clean it:
1. Lid: Remove the lid from the pitcher before cleaning. The lid is top-rack dishwasher safe.
2. Pitcher: After use, let the frother cool completely and remove the pitcher from the base. Hand wash the inside of the pitcher with hot water and dish soap using a cloth. Rinse the inside of the pitcher with clean, warm water. Use a damp cloth to hand wash the outside of the pitcher and wipe it dry to prevent streaking. Do not rinse the pitcher's exterior, and do not store liquids in the pitcher.
3. Frothing paddle: Remove the frothing paddle from the pitcher before cleaning. The frothing paddle is dishwasher safe.
4. Base: Disconnect the base from the outlet before cleaning. Use a damp cloth to wipe visible particles from the base as needed. Allow the base to dry thoroughly before placing the pitcher back on it.
5. Power cord: Use a barely damp cloth to wipe visible particles from the power cord as needed. Do not fold the power cord when storing.
Important: The pitcher and base contain electrical components, so do not machine wash, rinse, or immerse them in water or other liquids.
Avoid using metal scouring pads, abrasive powders, or harsh chemical detergents to clean the milk frother or any of its components. Let all parts dry thoroughly before use or storage.
