To clean the Bodum 11870-01US BISTRO Electric Milk Frother, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet and let the milk frother cool down completely before cleaning.
2. Clean the inside of the jug with a damp and soft cloth or sponge. Do not immerse the milk frother or the power base in water or any other liquid. Never place the milk frother under running water to clean. Do not place it in the dishwasher.
3. If necessary, detach the whisk from the rotating shaft and rinse it with water.
4. If there is residue or buildup inside the jug, you can use a mixture of clean water and a few drops of mild liquid soap. Fill the jug with the soapy water up to the MAX level and turn the milk frother on. Allow the soapy water to clean the jug. After the milk frother turns itself off, discard the soapy water. Rinse the jug with fresh clean water and repeat until all soap residue is removed. Wipe the inside of the jug with a damp cloth.
5. Rinse the lid and whisk in clean water and dry them thoroughly.
6. Make sure that all electrical connectors and sockets are kept dry.
Note: Never use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents, hard brushes, metal, or sharp objects to clean the milk frother. These can be hazardous to your health and may damage the plastic parts of the product.
