To replace the batteries in the Fisher-Price DGH73 Lights & Volume Control Seahorse, please follow these steps:
1. Open the fasteners on the back of the toy to access the battery compartment.
2. Pull the electronics box out of the toy to fully access the battery compartment.
3. Loosen the xxxx in the battery compartment door and remove the door.
4. Remove the exhausted batteries from the compartment and dispose of them properly.
5. Insert two new AA (LR6) alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, making sure to follow the polarity markings.
6. Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the xxxx . Do not over-tighten.
7. Slide the power switch to the ON position to turn off the try-me demonstration mode. Use the power switch to turn the toy OFF when not in use.
8. Adjust the volume switch to the desired level (low or high volume).
9. Fit the electronics box back into the toy and close the fasteners securely.
10. If the toy operates erratically, you may need to reset the electronics. Slide the power switch off and then back on.
11. When the sounds or lights become faint or stop, it's time to replace the batteries with new ones.
Please note that only adults should replace the batteries, and you will need a Phillips screwdriver (not included) for this task. For longer battery life, it is recommended to use alkaline batteries.
