To install the batteries in the BLACK+DECKER BDL190S Line Laser, follow these steps:
1. Ensure the laser on/off switch (A) is in the full-off position by moving the laser button to the "O" position.
2. Locate the battery compartment cover (H) on the back side of the unit.
3. Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding it off.
4. Insert 2 fresh 1.5 volt AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, making sure to match the (+) and (-) terminals correctly.
5. Replace the battery compartment cover, ensuring it is securely in place.
