To insert the batteries into the Farberware 5317658 Compact Battery-Operated Can Opener, please follow these steps:
1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the can opener.
2. Use a small screwdriver or your fingernail to slide the battery compartment cover open.
3. Insert two AA batteries into the compartment, ensuring that the positive (+) and negative (-) ends are aligned correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.
5. The can opener is now ready to use with the batteries installed.
Please note that the batteries are not included with the product, so you will need to purchase them separately. Additionally, it is recommended to remove the batteries from the can opener when not in use for extended periods to avoid battery corrosion.
