To install the batteries in the Farberware 5165022, follow these steps:
1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the can opener.
2. Open the battery compartment by sliding the cover in the direction indicated.
3. Insert 2 AA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring they are aligned correctly according to the polarity markings inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
