To use the Hamilton Beach 76700 Electric Automatic Can Opener, follow these steps:
1. Place the can on a flat surface, ensuring that the can's rim is aligned with the cutter.
2. Hold the can in place and position the opener's activation lever directly above the can's rim.
3. Press down firmly on the activation lever to start the can opener.
4. The motor will automatically start and the opener will begin cutting into the can's lid.
5. Do not hold down the activation lever or the can while the opener is in operation. The motor will automatically stop once the can is fully opened.
6. Once the can is open, release the activation lever and lift the can opener away from the can.
7. Remove the opened can from the can opener and dispose of it properly.
Note: If there is a bump, dent, or heavy seam in the rim of the can, it is recommended to open the other end of the can or start the cutter just beyond the obstacle.
