To change the batteries in the VTech 80-158089 Touch & Teach Elephant, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit.
3. Use a coin or a screwdriver to loosen the xxxx on the battery cover.
4. Remove the battery cover to access the battery compartment.
5. Install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. It is recommended to use new alkaline batteries for maximum performance.
6. Make sure to insert the batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
7. Replace the battery cover and tighten the xxxx to secure it.
Please note that it is important to use new alkaline batteries for optimal performance. Also, remember to remove the batteries during long periods of non-use to preserve battery life.
