To test the battery on the Sperry Instruments VD6505 Non-Contact Voltage Sensor, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the button (#7) on the top side of the tester.
2. If the battery is good, the light will flash, and the speaker will chirp momentarily.
3. If the indicators do not function, it indicates that the battery needs to be replaced.
4. This unit operates using a single AAA battery.
