To use the Milwaukee 2202-20 Voltage Detector to test an outlet, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the black housing is in place before using the voltage detector.
2. Press the On/Off button to turn on the voltage detector.
3. Place the tip of the voltage detector into each side of the outlet, making sure it makes contact with the metal prongs.
4. If AC voltage is detected, the V and the gray tip will light up red, and the tool will beep repeatedly.
It's important to note that before using the voltage detector, you should test it on a known live circuit to ensure it is functioning correctly. Additionally, always verify the absence of voltage with a suitable measurement before beginning any work on a circuit.
