To turn on the Just Play 53426 Singing and Dancing Elmo Slide, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the batteries are correctly installed: Open the battery box, usually located on the bottom of Elmo, and insert 4 AA batteries, making sure they are facing the correct way.
2. Check the battery contacts: Make sure the battery contacts are clean and free from any dirt or corrosion. If necessary, clean the contacts with a dry cloth.
3. Power on the toy: Locate the switch near the battery box and ensure that it is turned on. The toy will not function if the switch is in the off position.
4. Test the buttons: Press the buttons on Elmo's hands to activate the different modes of play. Squeeze Elmo's left hand to start the dance mode, and squeeze his right hand to start the "Elmo Says" game.
