To install the Mighty Max Battery YTX4L-BS, follow these steps:
1. Choose a well-ventilated location for installation, preferably the lowest position possible.
2. Ensure there is approximately 0.79 inches (20mm) of interlock spacing between batteries per row for good ventilation and heat dissipation.
3. Keep the battery away from heat sources and avoid installation in closed compartments or near sparks to prevent the ignition of hydrogen gas.
4. Clean or polish the terminals before connecting the battery, and be careful to prevent the short circuit of the positive and negative terminals.
5. Tighten all nuts, bolts, washers, and connecting wires securely to avoid loose connections that can cause electric arcing or terminal burning.
6. Use insulated tools when installing the battery.
7. When connecting the battery to a charger or load, keep the circuit switch OFF and connect the positive terminal to the positive pole and the negative terminal to the negative pole.
8. Do not mix batteries of different types, sizes, capacities, or production dates in a group.
9. If installing multiple batteries in parallel, connect them in series first and then complete the parallel connection.
10. After installation, test the voltage of the battery string and ensure all modules are correctly installed. Link the battery to the load and use the correct torque on all terminals.
