To charge AA or AAA Ni-MH batteries with the EBL FY-409 LCD Battery Charger, follow these steps:
1. Make sure to use a 2.0A Adapter ONLY.
2. Plug in the Micro USB/Type C cable and power on the charger. The LCD screen will light up and display characters.
3. The charger will show the charging status of each battery with a battery icon on the LCD screen.
4. When a battery is fully charged, the LCD screen will display a full battery icon.
5. Do not charge short or bad batteries, and do not use a 2.0A adapter. Charging these batteries or using the wrong adapter may cause the LCD screen to flash continuously.
To protect your charger and batteries:
- When installing the battery for charging, insert the negative (-) terminal of the battery first, then press the top of the battery to connect the positive (+) contact to the plate. Incorrect installation may damage the charger and battery.
- Do not disassemble or reassemble the charger, as it may cause a short circuit.
- Do not charge batteries with damaged covers, as it may cause short circuits and fire hazards.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries, as it may cause leakage, explosion, and personal injuries.
- Do not place anything on the charger while charging batteries, as it can accumulate heat and cause a fire hazard.
- Use the charger indoors only, away from direct sunlight and moist/high-temperature environments.
- Children should not use the charger without adult supervision.
- Use the power cable provided by EBL.
- Ensure the +/- pole of the battery matches the +/- pole of the charger when placing the batteries into the charger.
- The charger cannot charge absolute 0-volt batteries.
- New batteries will reach their best performance after being used 2-3 times.
- If the battery is not used for a long time, fully charge it before storage.
- It is normal for the battery to become hot while charging, and the temperature will cool down later.
- Note that the Micro USB and Type C input ports cannot be simultaneously powered on.
