The hand crank alone can take up to 16 hours to fully charge the battery. However, it's important to note that the purpose of the hand crank is to get enough charge in the battery to power the radio for weather announcements or charge a phone enough to make a call, not to fully charge the gadget. It is recommended to use the hand crank for 1 minute at 130 RPM/min, which will provide approximately 18 minutes of flashlight use or 6 minutes of radio use. For a more efficient and faster charging option, you can also use the solar power or the micro USB port. Charging the radio via the micro USB port takes about 3-5 hours to fully charge the battery.
