There are several ways to determine which wire is positive and which is negative in the Amazon Basics 16-Gauge Speaker Wire Cable:
1. Look for a printed line or series of dashes/lines on one side of the wire. This indicates the positive side.
2. Check for a red wire or a wire of a different color than the negative wire. Red and black are commonly used for positive and negative wires, respectively.
3. Observe if one wire is copper-colored while the other is silver-colored. The copper-colored wire is usually the positive wire.
4. Look for small positive ("+") symbols and/or size information printed on the positive wire.
5. Check if the insulation on the positive side is imprinted or molded with a stripe.
Please note that imprints and positive symbols can sometimes be difficult to spot, so it may require careful inspection under good lighting. Additionally, positive wires with a "+" print can be challenging to discern at times.
