To charge the Retevis RT22 Walkie Talkies, follow these steps:
1. Before initial use or after a long time of storage, make sure to charge the battery. The battery is not charged in the factory.
2. Connect the charger to a power source and plug it into the charging port on the radio. The charger is not suitable for outdoor use and should only be used in dry locations/conditions.
3. The radio can be turned off or left on during the charging process. However, it is recommended to turn off the radio to avoid any interference.
4. The radio has a low battery warning feature. When the voltage falls down to the lowest level, a tone of "Please Charge" will sound, indicating that the battery needs to be replaced or recharged.
5. The radio comes with a six-way multi-gang charger that can charge multiple radios or batteries at the same time. The charger has multiple charging protections, including overcharge, over-voltage, and short circuit protection.
6. It is important to use only Retevis-approved supplied or replacement batteries, chargers, antennas, and accessories. The use of non-approved accessories may exceed RF exposure guidelines and pose a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.
